We made a modification to the formula towards the end of 2020 in which we reduced the glycerin. We received feedback from customers that they loved the product, but it made their hair feel sticky; especially in the summer. The glycerin is an ingredient that caused the product to be so moisturizing. 

We wanted to ensure the product remained hydrating. So we added another humectant propanediol, which still gives hydration without making the hair sticky. It also has other benefits of creating a soft feel to the hair, and enhancing the effectiveness of the preservative we use. This allows us to use less preservative while still maintaining proper preservation of the product.
